IT’S THE NEXT ACTION FIGURE TO BE COLLECTED, SINCE T-2. AND IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR YOU BETTER GET A HOLD OF THIS ONE BEFORE IT’S TO LATE. REMEMBER HE JUST MIGHT BE THE NEXT GOVENOR.
This toy re-creates a scene from the movie and Arnold looks very real and it’s done with extreme precision. I don’t play with action figures so I don’t know how to judge it for fun but I collect movie action figures and this is one looks great. It’s a must have for fans of the Terminator series or for anyone that likes action figures.
This toy is great but he can’t hold his main weapon. Why does he even come with a weapon if he can’t hold it? His coffin opens to reveal cool looking weapons but he can’t hold them either. This toy is great because it is a Terminator but it is sort of pointless to play with. I’m just glad that I’m too old to play with toys ’cause this is purely for looks. Buy it if you love Terminator but don’t buy it if you’re a kid that wants to play Terminator with his friends.
This figure is what you would expect from McFarlane. Highly detailed sculpt and amazing detail. From the dirt on his boots to the tiny folds in his tattered shirt this figure screams quality design. Someone went out of his or her way to make this as true to the Terminator as possible. This T-850 wields a 50cal machine gun in one hand and a bullet-riddled coffin in the other. The coffin even opens with weapons inside and has some great looking bullet holes. It makes for an impressive display.
However I miss the day when a figure was an action figures and not just a museum display piece. There isn’t much articulation, just enough to get him standing with coffin in hand. So do not expect to be able to change the way he looks. Also the coffin is very top heavy. This makes it somewhat challenging to get him standing and careful of knocking him over when you do. He is made out of good sturdy plastic but has a number of small pegs that might give under enough stress.
If you are a collector of Terminator or McFarlane (or just plain cool) stuff this is for you. Just be aware that it’s a top-heavy figure good only for looking at.
